Commission Wendy

You can contact Wendy to commission a piece of art on a contract basis. Although the base price is based on the size of the work of art, subject and color may also be factored into the cost of the commissioned piece.
Contract terms:

  • 25% deposit for materials
  • 25% at sketch and design approval
  • 25% at half point inspection
  • 25% at delivery

Delivery/shipping: 1 month from completion to allow for scan, and drying time

Yes I Am…..Beautiful series. My goal on this series is to capture the beauty, strength and indomitable spirit of a survivor in a finger painting.

This is Jeanette, 2′ x 3′, 93% finger painted….if you look closely, her scars are all pink ribbons.

Her wife took a photo of her stretching right after her breast cancer surgery and caught her beautifully. Jeanette then sat with me so I could hear her story and capture it on canvas as a surprise for her wife. Together, this is the finished product.
I am most proud of this piece!

Family wanted to remember granddaughter in the garden.
Cosmo was a little pug that passed away leaving a big hole in owner’s heart. Working from old pictures is tough, but I learned a lot about painting instead of trying to be a camera. From our heart….
This was the last commissioned piece for 2018! Christmas present for a fishing family. 12″ x 24″ 94% finger painted 6% brush
After seeing pictures and prints from my other roosters, Clayton told me he had his own rooster, but that he looked different. His mom asked for this rooster. But you can add it to your wall if you would like it in print form. 🙂
The owner of “Tough Guy” wanted a chickadee as a present for a family member but wanted an original, not a print. Once we knew where it was going (and the colors of the room it was going to), decided that not copying the original and changing the background to match the house decor would be a better approach.
A friend saw my sea turtle watercolor, but wanted a bigger one. (She had a large wall to fill.) We decided to use plaster board so there would be no need to frame the painting after completion. Very interesting medium, works up similar to a water color (more like a fresco similar to those in Ancient Greece or Rome) but also more challenging. Here it is hanging on the wall.
Who would have thought? Cacti as the theme for a baby’s room. This was a fun project – done quickly as the baby was due any day…! Mom and baby love it!

Commissioned as part of the fundraising efforts of Libby’s Legacy Foundation for both the ground breaking ceremony for the PINK RIBBON GARDEN in New York’s Capital District – October 2018.

Protecting your painting for posterity:

Usually a month is necessary for oil paints to set and dry so that the painting can be sealed. You may take the painting home after completion of the painting, but we are not responsible for damage to the painting due to the paint not being dry or the piece not being sealed for protection. You may return the paint to us (at your cost) for application of sealant after the month period if you choose to take possession of your art piece before the month drying period is complete.

Shipping and handling:

Your shipping costs for original art will vary depending on distance and size. We will quote your delivery cost to at least 3 locally based art shipping companies to ship your paintings, as they specialize in painting transportation and packaging. We will share our quotes with you so you can pick who we take it to for delivery to your address of choice. We will deliver in a 50 mile driving radius at no cost.
